New Member Orientation
Kappa Alpha Theta chapters initiate their new members between 4-6 weeks after Bid Day. This program covers the following topics:
- Zero-tolerance hazing policy and risk management
- Theta history
- Personal excellence
- Ritual appreciation
In addition to these topics, Theta new members also complete Greek-Wise. Kappa Alpha Theta was the first women’s fraternity to endorse and require that all members complete online alcohol education. The Greek-Wise program educates students about behaviors that compromise personal safety and challenges preconceived social norms. Tailored to the needs of fraternity and sorority collegiate members, Greek-Wise is an interactive, online, educational program that focuses on alcohol education, hazing, and sexual assault, helping students make safer and healthier decisions.
BZ Theta is so excited to be able to welcome home the Pledge Class of 2016 so soon!!! We cannot wait to meet and get to know this pledge class. On Bid Day, PC 16 will get to meet Megan Wheeler who will be their New Member Leader. Her role is to answer any questions they might have, teach them about the history and traditions of Kappa Alpha Theta, and most importantly help them get settled in to their new home!
We love you guys already and cannot wait for recruitment!
